"Mrs. B.C. Segerberg To Be Buried In Denver.
The remains of Mrs. Britta Christiana Segerberg will be interred in Fairmont cemetery in Denver Thursday afternoon, March 16th. Tomorrow morning her daughter, Miss Elfrida Segerberg, and three sons, Mssrs. A.F., J.A. and A.W. Segerberg, will accompany the remains to Denver, where another daughter, Mrs. Minnie Headquits, resides at 1150 Steele street.
The funeral will be held at the home of Mrs. Headquist, the services being conducted by Dr. R.B. Peery, pastor of the English Lutheran church of Denver.
Britta Christina Johanson was born in Stenstorp, Westergotland, Sweden, September 2, 1835, and was married in her birthplace in 1854 to Johannes Segerberg, who died in 1903. With three younger children, Mrs. Segerberg came to the United States in 1887, to join her older children, who had arrived several years before. She first came to Telluride in 1904, remaining here until 1906, when she went to Denver to reside with a daughter, Mrs. Augusta Pommareau, returning to Telluride last December after the death of Mrs. Pommareau. Five living children will attend the funeral. Mrs. A.W. Segerberg will not be able to attend, being compelled to remain at home with her children, who are too young to take the hurried journey."
