I have some more (and some different) data here: Catrina Jäderström, b. June 1, 1848 in Åmot, Gästrikland. In 1877 she married Carl Johan Hjort (b. Jan 10, 1855 in Söderhamn), son of Lars Gustafsson Hjort and Christina (Stina) Söderström. Their daughter Emma Elisabeth was born on Dec 26, 1880 in Hamrånger. The family emmigrated from Hamrånger to USA in June 1881. So if it is Catrina Jäderström on the photo, it's probably taken 1881 in Filipstad on the way from Hamrånger to Malmö, wherefrom the family left Sweden on June 16. Catrina Jäderström is a sister to the great-grandfather of my brother-in-law (with surname Jäderström).
Söderström
I do believe this photo is one of Katherine Söderström or Jäderström? Hjort It is the same woman I have married to the brother of my great-grandfather, Per Gustave Hjort. Katherine was married to Carl Johan Hjort, son of Lars Gustave Hjort and Christina Söderström Hjort. They emigrated to Wisconsin in the 1879 from Ludvika and had two children, Emma, who married David Ruby and David Hjort. There are descendants from both families here in the U.S. I have some information on those families if interested. Please feel free to contact me at melperner@yahoo.com
