Parishes in the county of Jamtland 
The County of Jamtland
The County of Jamtland consists of two whole provinces - Jamtland and Herjedalen - together with smaller parts of two other provinces - Angermanland and Helsingland. Of the 65 parishes in the county, 50 are found in Jamtland, 10 in Herjedalen, 3 in Angermanland and the remaining 2 in Helsingland.The County of Jamtland was established in 1810, most of the parishes developed in the early days of christianity (1100 - 1300 AD), but the provinces originates from the Iron Age (300 - 1050 AD). Both Jamtland and Herjedalen were parts of the Norwegian/Danish kingdom, from c:a 1200 AD up to 1645.
