Första bild i ett album från Hillsand, Strömsund, Z. Den föreställer Gustav Jönsson-Sandberg,född 1874 25/9 från Vedjeön. Hustrun Maria Matsdotter, född 1873 2/8 från Hillsand. Samt fem av parets 6 barn. Familjen emigrerade till USA 1910, de följde troligtvis efter Gustavs föräldrar och syskon som emigrerade till Wisconsin redan 1901.

Based on their relative ages and sizes in the photo -- The girl standing in the back is Naomi (1898 5 Apr) and the boy next to her is Matt (1899 6 Dec). The small, standing boy in the center is John (1901 1 Jul). The boy sitting on Gus' knee is Waldemar (1902 4 Sep) and the baby is Vera (1904 30 Jan). So this photo is from late 1904/early 1905. After those five children were two more who made the trip to America in 1910 -- Hugo (1905 10 Sep) and Sigurd (1907 10 Jan). The eighth child died before the family left Sweden, Olof-Rikard (1909 14 Aug). Finally, there were five born in America -- Nels (1911 6 Jul), Elsie (1913 23 Mar), Linnea (1914 23 Dec), Alvin (1916 4 Apr), and Richard (1919 13 Mar). That makes 13!
